Recently I’ve gone through a spell of making lots of cupcakes. It started when I was asked to review Green’s cupcake kit for Crafty Crafty. It spurred me on to delve into the world of cupcakes and its ended (so far) in me agreeing to make 60 cupcakes for my neice’s birthday party. Im pleased to say that they went well. It did involve me baking for most of the day before the party and for a few evenings in the week up to it (to make the sugar paste roses and butterflys). For those of you who are new to the world of sugar paste (like myself), you can see a video tutorial for the roses that I made here and I used this butterfly cutter. Both are very simple (although the rose is time intensive) but very effective. And, once you sprinkle edible glitter on everything, it all looks brilliant!
